Snus in Thong Sala

Thong Sala is the main town of Koh Phangan and the primary ferry port for the island, located on the southwestern coast facing Koh Samui across the Gulf of Thailand. The town serves as the entry point for nearly all visitors arriving from Donsak via Surat Thani, from Koh Samui, or from Chumphon, and functions as the island's commercial and administrative hub with the main concentration of banks, supermarkets, hospitals, and government offices. Beyond the pier, the town stretches inland along the main road and several smaller streets running parallel to the coast, with restaurants, cafes, dive shops, and tour operators servicing both tourists and the island's long-term resident population. The Saturday Walking Street market and the nightly food market draw visitors from across the island, and the surrounding area has grown steadily over the past two decades as Koh Phangan has expanded beyond its Full Moon Party reputation into a year-round destination for European long-stay residents, wellness seekers, and divers transitioning between Phangan, Samui, and Koh Tao.
